The newest installment in the online Monster Hunter Frontier series, Frontier G, will release on April 17th of 2013 in Japan, Capcom announced today. The update will apply to both the PC and Xbox 360.

Monster Hunter Frontier is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game that released in Japan for the PC in 2007, and again in 2010 for the Xbox 360. Frontier G comes with several new features, including 10 new monsters, three new fields, over 150 G class weapons and armor sets, more than 30 new skills, and four new elementals. There will also be new actions for 11 weapon types, and 21 of the game's current monsters will become G class.

More updates are expected to roll out periodically. G2 is slated for Fall of 2013, followed by G3 in Spring 2014. No plans for a release in other regions have been announced.
