Pocket Planes, NimbleBit's airline management simulator, is now available on Android devices via the Mobage gaming network.
The game originally launched on iOS in June and quickly became a hit; iOS users have downloaded the free-to-play title over 2.4 million times, according to NimbleBit and publishing partner DeNA, the Japanese parent company of Mobage and ngmoco. NimbleBit co-owner Ian Marsh said he is excited to grow Pocket Planes' player base by bringing Android users into the fold. "Not only has Mobage helped streamline the publishing process," said Marsh, "but we have seen a tremendous amount of success expanding the reach of last year's launch of Pocket Frogs on Android devices through the network."
Pocket Planes gives players a pixelated airline to manage, with a full fleet of planes to fly to and from over 250 cities as they build up their company from small puddle jumpers to jumbo jets.
