Data-mining of the Diablo 3 client following the game's latest patch has revealed files pointing to new player-versus-player rewards tokens and a new deathmatch mode, reports Diablo Fans.
The new PvP tokens will be awarded along with gold and experience points following arena deathmatches. Tokens can be exchanged for items in the Slaughtered Calf Inn in New Tristam with non-playable character Gryffith the Warmaster.
The deathmatch mode sets players in four-on-four battles in several separate arenas. The battlegrounds include Bastion's Forge, The Fetid Pools, the Altar of Courage, and the Pit of the Condemned.
We have reached out to Blizzard for comment on these files and when these changes might be implemented, and will update this story will more information as it is made available.
