Guardians of Middle-earth, the massive online battle arena (MOBA) headed to consoles from developer Monolith Productions, was shaped by feedback from seasoned MOBA players, as a video released today demonstrates.
The video chronicles a team of eight professional MOBA players who were invited to Monolith's offices to play the game and offer their feedback. Because MOBAs aren't typically released on consoles, Monolith wanted their opinions to help ensure its MOBA played credibly. The developer tweaked Guardians based on the feedback, including adjustments to the game's respawn timer, and the amount of time it takes to capture enemy bases.
Polygon visited Monolith's offices during a pre-PAX Prime event to go hands-on with the MOBA and learn how the pro feedback shaped the title, including its control scheme.
Guardians of Middle-earth is set for release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this fall. Check out the video below.
