'Offensive Combat' now in open beta

The open beta features twice as much content

Offensive Combat, the browser-based free-to-play multiplayer shooter from U4iA Games, has opened its beta to all interested players.

Polygon reported previously on Offensive Combat, a quirky, non-traditional shooter meant to bring console-quality games to browsers. The game has been in closed beta since June. The open beta features twice as much content as its predecessor, as well as a new skill tree and revamped weapon customization. Players can explore six maps and combine different elements from 29 of the game's characters, which include modern and future soliders, robots, and pirates.

U4iA Games was founded by former Call of Duty leads Dusty Welch and Chris Archer; Offensive Combat is the company's first project. The beta is available here for both PC and Mac.
