Music will play a leading role in storytelling and influencing play style in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of 2, according to a new developer diary.

The upcoming sequel to Epic Mickey will feature musical elements where characters break into song to express their thoughts, feelings, and personalities, and to advance the story. The in-game music will also change depending on how the player decides to play and the choices they make.

The developer diary features an interview with composer Jim Dooley as he talks viewers through the process of coming up with a song that expresses character and purpose.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of 2 will be released on November 23rd for Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
