PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale developer SuperBot Entertainment has been silent in regards to bringing Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee's titular protagonist on board for the fighter, CVG reports.
Developer Oddworld Inhabitants says "certain sectors" of Sony America expressed interest in clumsy alien Abe's conclusion in the PlayStation-themed brawler, but SuperBot has yet to speak up.
"We've been trying to get in touch with them since May and can't work out if they've fixed their character line-up for the release version or if they're simply not interested," director Stewart Gilray told CVG.
"We'd love to get him in the game. We've already been talking about the moves he could have like possessing Kratos and beating the shit out of everyone," he added. "I guess they're busy and we're busy."
Gilray is still interested in offering Oddworld's hero as a downloadable add-on character.
Polygon has reached out to Sony and SuperBot for comment and will update this story with more information.
PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 20th.
