Mortal Kombat 11’s new patch ‘uncensors’ Kabal’s Brutality

Mortal Kombat 11’s latest free update does a number of things, but most visibly it “uncensors” Kabal’s goofy Brutality. Here’s my vote for leaving it censored.

Not because it’s gory, hideous or tasteless. It’s just kinda … lame? Kabal’s gimmick is that he’s so ugly underneath his mask that he’ll scare your soul right out of you, sort of like a Scooby-Doo cartoon.

Well the title update shows us what’s going on under those pixels now. Basically, Kabal looks like Large Marge from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (pictured above, for the sake of irony).

Kabal’s uncensored Brutality is among “several new Brutalities for players to discover,” according to the official patch notes. Other highlights to this week’s update include a tweak to the Training mode to make practicing combos with Krushing Blows a little easier.

The omnibus patch is readying the game for the release of the first DLC character, Shang Tsung, played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who played the wizard in the 1995 flick.
