Genshin Impact’s temporary ocean-filled area, the Golden Apple Archipelago, has several world quests, including “From Outer Lands.” In our Genshin Impact guide, we’ll detail how to start the quest, find the boat halves, and complete the quest.

The Golden Apple Archipelago is a limited time area for patch 1.6, and it won’t be available after July 20, according to an in-game countdown. Make sure you complete your world quests and grab your loot before then.

To activate the “From Outer Lands” world quest, interact with one of two destroyed boats. (Which boat you choose doesn’t matter.) Each boat has a destroyed wooden plank, which you can interact with on the side of the boat. Once you do this, Paimon will task you with finding the other half of the boat. You can see where both boats are on our maps below.

After this, Paimon will direct you to a large area in the water and instruct you to look for treasure. There are three wreckage sites, and the order in which you interact with them doesn’t matter. When you arrive at the wreckage, get off your boat and interact with the bubble that appears in the water.

Once you interact with the third and last area, a Sentry will spawn for you to take down. Because the Sentry floats up in the air and there isn’t much stable ground below you, set a bow or catalyst user in your party before you interact with the last bubble, so it’s easy to take down.

After you defeat the Sentry, the quest will end, and a treasure chest will appear, rewarding you with EXP, Mora, and Primogems.

The Golden Apple Archipelago has five other world quests that reward Primogems and other goodies:

  1. The Other Side of Isle and Sea
  2. A Trip Through Fog and Wind
  3. Who Wields the Wild Wind?
  4. The Winding Homeward Way
  5. They Who Hear the Sea
