Genshin Impact’s “Lotus Eater” is a new quest in Enkanomiya. It’s listed as part of the Inazuma Reputation, but you need solve a short puzzle and bring up the afterimage of an NPC to start the quest. Our Genshin Impact “Lotus Eater” walkthrough explains how to find the starting location for “Lotus Eater” and how long it takes for the Dragonbone Flower to condense to reward the Dragonbone Orb.
How to start the Lotus Eater world quest
Genshin Impact “Lotus Eater” does not start from an NPC you can just find in the world. Instead, you have to complete a short puzzle to bring their afterimage up.
To find the NPC, set Enkanomiya to Evernight and head to this ruin-filled cavern to the west of the Serpent’s Heart ruins Teleport Waypoint.
Continue in the cavern until you see a pile of stone chests with seal symbols behind it. A ruin sentinel will be in front of it. Defeat the ruin sentinel and activate the seals, which will show the order to walk into the doors in the Serpent’s Heart shrine.
Head back up to the ruins and touch the doors in the order shown by the seals. Talk to the ghost who appears in the center to start “Lotus Eater.”
If you don’t remember the order the seals are shown, you can reference the image below.
Lotus Eater world quest puzzle solution
Once you talk to the ghost, they’ll send you to find some information about them. Interact with the stone tablet right outside of the circle of doors in Serpent’s Heart to continue with the quest.
Next, you’ll have to find where “the children are hidden,” which is a little bit more of an actual puzzle. You can complete it by doing the following:
- Switch to Whitenight.
- Head to the designated quest location.
- Hit the triangle mechanisms until the game says, “This seems to be in the right position …”. (The left lantern needs to be at the top, the middle lantern needs to be at the bottom, and the right lantern needs to be in the middle.)
This will open up more ruins. Switch to Evernight and continue following the quest directions. The chest behind the ghost in the ruins will have a Secret Room Key, which isn’t for this quest, but you should grab it anyway while you’re here.
Waiting for the Dragonbone Flower to condense
After “Lotus Eater” takes you around, you’ll eventually water the Dragonbone Flower that’s near the entrance to Enkanomiya. You’ll need to wait in real-time for the flower to condense. It will grow after the next server daily reset, which takes place at 5 a.m. ET.
What to do with the Dragonbone Orb
Once you get the Dragonbone Orb, you can sell it to Xigu Antiques in Liyue, With Wind Comes Glory in Mondstadt, or Netsuke no Gen Crafts in Inazuma. Each shop will give you 80,000 Mora for it, but they’ll also give you a specialty dish based on the region, depending on which one you sell it to.
You can also keep is as a souvenir in your inventory if you want.
