Once you finish the final story quest in the Genshin Impact “Summer Odyssey” event, there will be several world quests you can complete that have to do with Fatui agents, with “The Discarded Insignia” being one of them.

Our “The Discarded Insignia” world quest guide will explain where to find the Old Insignia and solve the elemental pillar puzzle on Minacious Isle.

On the original version of Minacious Isle (without the big ruins tower), climb up the cliff, and talk to the Electrohammer Vanguard we’ve marked below to start the quest.

He’ll talk about a Old Insignia item that he’s lost. If you’ve been hunting down Phantasmal Conches, you probably have already picked up this item, but if not, we marked its location on Pudding Isle below:

After giving the Old Insignia to the Electrohammer Vanguard, you’ll need to activate the elemental pillars below in a specific order: Cryo, Anemo, Pyro, then Hydro. After you activate the pillars, a portal will open.

Hit the clover pinwheel near the pillars with Anemo to create an updraft that will carry you into the portal. Follow the quest navigation by talking to the two Fatui agents and head to the designated area.

The quest will complete as you get closer, and you’ll run into the Mirror Maiden to start the next quest, “The Misplaced Photo.”

If you’ve already completed “The Misplaced Photo,” then you’ll start the quest for “A Misplaced Conch.”

If this is your first Golden Apple Archipelago world quest, there are a few more time-limited quests you can do before the islands vanish:
