Abilities and healing in Ghost of Tsushima both pull from the same resource: your Resolve. In order to stay effective — and alive — in combat you’ll need plenty of this limited resource. Each use of a combat or life-granting skill takes one or more pieces of Resolve from the amount you have available. The best way to keep your options open is to permanently raise your Resolve.
The quickest way to do that is to find Bamboo Strikes hidden across the island. Tsushima has 16 scattered across its three regions. By completing these simple memory puzzles, your character can increase the amount of Resolve they have available. Finding all of the Bamboo Strikes is also a requirement for the Body, Mind, and Spirit Trophy.
In this Polygon guide, we’ll show you where to find each Bamboo Strike in Ghost of Tsushima with maps to each region and prefecture.
Table of contents
Izuhara Bamboo Strike locations
Tsushima’s southern region, Izuhara, has seven Bamboo Strikes. Most of them can be found freely, except two of them: the Azamo and Hiyoshi Bamboo Strike.
To gain access to this Bamboo Strike, you need to complete the Side Tale, “Unfinished Business.”
This Bamboo Strike will not appear on your map as a question mark. You must find the man near the stand itself. Talk to him and he’ll let you use the Bamboo Strike setup, marking it off your list.
You can find this location near the northern part of Hiyoshi Springs, looking over the main hot spring in the center. The area is lined with bamboo trees and there’s a building with a Bamboo Strike banner next to it.
Toyotama Bamboo Strike locations
There are six Bamboo Strikes to find in Toyotama, Tsushima’s central region.
Kamiagata Bamboo Strike locations
Tsushima’s northern area, Kamiagata, has three Bamboo Strikes with two in Kin prefecture, one in Sago, and none in Jogaku.
