In God of War, once you’re free to explore all there is to offer on the Lake of Nine, you’ll likely head to the various towers and landmarks shrouded in the mist throughout the body of water. Each of these has various items, enemies and more to explore. We’ll breakdown what you can find at one of these such locations, the Cliffs of the Raven, located south of Tyr’s Temple.
After landing on the beach of the Cliffs of the Raven, you’ll find several dead bodies, none of which you need to worry about. However, when you activate the brazier at the far end of the beach, you will face off against tatzelwurm and several viken. Defeating them will free a spirit for the Unfinished Business favor and give you a reward for that quest.

To the left of the brazier, along the stone walls, you’ll find this symbol below some wooden planks. Destroy these to create a path for Atreus to climb up and lower a chain for Kratos. Atop this cliff, you’ll find a chest containing a Muspelheim Cipher and opposite that, you’ll find a corpse with a Abandon Ship item.
If you have the Dead and Bloated treasure map, you can find an Oblivion Stone, which you can use to upgrade your axe pommel as well as some hacksilver and some soft Svartalfheim steel and a Inscribed Crest of Courage which you can put into an armor slot.

Once the water drops at the Cliffs of the Raven, you’ll have a short, but convoluted Winds of Hel puzzle to solve to open a Nornir Chest. The new beach at Cliffs of the Raven is just west of Vanaheim Tower.
OPENING THE NORNIR CHEST
As you make your way onto the beach, you’ll find a Winds of Hel door to your right. Ignore it for now — it’s the last thing you’ll take care of here. Instead, head left to the gate. Pull down the gate with your chain and while still holding onto the chain, chuck your axe through the three vines giving you access to the Winds of Hel there. You won’t access them from here, so time to move on.
Make your way back toward the boat and find the vines off to the right. Destroy them and climb up to the higher area. The moment you get up there, make a left. You’ll notice you can drop back down from here, but instead find the two small walls you can climb up. Once on higher ground, turn around and destroy the single vine and then make sure to grab the bit of hacksilver hanging out in a small alcove.
Hop over the gap and position yourself properly to destroy the three vines from this vantage point. Next, you’ll notice a Nornir Chest and a handful of directions to go. Turn left and hop the gap to climb up to a new area. There you’ll find a rune, but you don’t have your Winds of Hel yet. Instead, turn southeast and hop across the gap. Grab the hacksilver on the other side and climb the chain.
On top of this new cliff, you’ll find a chest with some hacksilver and World Serpent Scales, another rune and a path down to the original high water area of the Cliffs of the Raven. Be warned, when you drop down into that area, you will be attacked by three Dark Elves.
Dispose of the elves and head north down this new path where you’ll run into two Tatzelwurms which you need to take care of. Once the beach is finally clear of enemies, head all the way down the path to where you’ll find the Winds of Hel. Before grabbing it, climb the small wall to the northwest to smash a chest full of hacksilver.
Hit the Winds of Hel with your Blades of Chaos and then make a beeline back up the path and store the Winds on the rune right next to the large gate. Walk through the newly opened gate, ignoring where you left the Winds of Hel for now and keep going forward until you see some vines to your right, which you can destroy with your axe. Open the gate and turn back around and climb the wall to your right, making your way back to the Nornir Chest.
Once you’re back at the chest, hop the gap ahead and climb the wall back up to that first rune you encountered. In this area, hop over the gap there and turn around so you’re facing northwest. You can now see where you left the Winds of Hel. Grab it and place it onto the rune, only pulling it back out when it reaches the “P” symbol. Once the Winds are back in your blades, turn south to find a rune where you can place the Winds for now. You’ll be using this rune a few more times.
Climb back down to the Nornir Chest so you can grab the Winds again. Once they are in your blade, run southwest to the next rune and pull the Winds back out once the rune displays the sideways “H” symbol. Then place the Winds back in the holding rune you just drew them from.
Lastly, go back up to the first rune, hop the gap, climb the chain, then hop gap towards the final rune. Once on the other side, turn around and grab the Winds. Throw them into the rune and yank them back out once you’ve reached the “R” symbol. Place the Winds back in the holding rune yet again before knocking down the chain to the northwest that lets you make your way back to the Nornir Chest. Finally, back at the chest, you’ll get a Horn of Blood Mead, which will increase your maximum rage after collecting three.
Once you’ve gotten your prize, there’s one last thing to do. Grab the Winds one last time and run northwest back down towards the beach. Hop the gap to your right, then spin around to your southwest to find a holding rune to place the Winds.
Once you’ve done that, hop down a level, grab the Winds, then keep running northwest down towards the beach. Once there, throw the Winds of Hel at the door to open it up and reveal a chest containing the Grips of the Cursed Flame, a legendary pommel for the Chaos Blades.
