In this God of War guide, we’ll show you how to find the Dead and Bloated map and buried treasure.

Where to find the Dead and Bloated treasure map

The Dead and Bloated treasure map is in the Volunder Mines, which you visit during the “Second Hand Soul” Favor. It’s in vicinity of the R-shaped rune that you need to destroy.

Take the chain down to the lower level near the path where the locked door is. As you do, two Nightmares will appear in front of the coffin. The Dead and Bloated treasure map is a few feet away from the coffin by a wooden wheel.

Editor’s note: We captured some of the images in the gallery below late into our God of War game. If you haven’t completed “The Sickness” Journey, then it may contain things that you don’t want to see yet. The text, though, is spoiler-free.

Dead and Bloated buried treasure location

The Dead and Bloated treasure map’s clue reads:

The troll who killed my kin is slain, but the battle has taken its toll. I’ve buried whatever I have left near his corpse. Ingrid and I used to frequent this beach to watch the sun rise over the temple.

The clue leads you to the Cliffs of the Raven. Make your way to the beach at the back of the island, and look for the troll’s corpse. (It’s the really big dead thing lying motionless.) You’ll find the buried treasure right next to it.

Unearth the treasure to get the Oblivion Stone, among other things that you can see in the gallery above.
