The transition from tabletop to video game, then back to tabletop, is something that few franchises have done successfully. Yet Cyberpunk has done it with relative ease. The Gangs of Night City board game from CMON borrows the setting and much of the styling of CD Projekt Red’s first-person RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, and turns it into something that players can dig into over the course of 90-minute sessions. If you love the inner-workings of the neon-drenched franchise, I suggest checking out Gangs of Night City while it’s selling at a good price on Amazon. Originally $109.99, the title is $80.28.

Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City
Players: 1-4, aged 14+
Playtime: 90-120 mins.
From the miniatures masters at CMON, this action board game raised nearly $900,000 on Kickstarter. Unlike the prequel games published by Monster Fight Club, this game occurs in the same timeline as the Cyberpunk 2077 video game.
The game sees players picking a gang comprised of Solos, Techies, or Netrunners — each with their own implant-enhanced skills and unique weapons, then taking on missions. Throughout play, you’ll building alliances with factions, have the option to hire Edgerunners (including some familiar faces from the game), fight against opponents, and capture territory. Gangs of Night City includes a ton of miniatures, game pieces, plus the board game itself. If you want to expand on it, the Families and Outcasts expansion pack makes it possible for a fifth player to join in. It costs $48.10, and includes more minis, missions, areas, gangs, and game pieces.
While this discount isn’t part of Amazon’s Spring Sale, it’s a nice coincidence to see the best-ever price on this board game happening right now. In case you’re curious about the aforementioned Spring Sale, it’s officially starting on March 25, but some early deals have popped up, including a 61% off sale on the Blu-ray collection of Batman: The Animated Series.
