Deciding which order you want to visit worlds in has been a big part of the Kingdom Hearts series. That decision has returned in Kingdom Hearts 3, but is far easier to manage on your own this time around. However, in Kingdom Hearts 3, you’ll only have about three opportunities to make this choice.
First, we recommend always going with the lowest recommended battle level for a world. If you can choose between a battle level 10 world and a level 12, do the level 10 first. That way, you’ll have the most even and fair experience possible.
Now, let’s take just a moment to go through each of the galaxies the game offers to you and order the worlds.
[Warning: The rest of this guide contains major spoilers for Kingdom Hearts 3]

This is the galaxy you’ll start in, and it has four worlds:
- Olympus (Hercules)
- Twilight Town
- Toy Box (Toy Story)
- Kingdom of Corona (Tangled)
You’ll have to go to Olympus first, and then you’ll make your way to Twilight Town naturally. When you get a chance to choose between Toy Box and the Kingdom of Corona, we recommend going in this order:
- Toy Box
- Kingdom of Corona
Like all the world orders we’ll be suggesting here, Toy Box has a lower battle level than the Kingdom of Corona. Going in the opposite order would be make the game more challenging for a brief moment, only for the difficulty to drop when going to Toy Box. For the most balanced experience, take Toy Box and then Kingdom of Corona.

This is where you’ll head next. It houses four worlds:
- Monstropolis (Monster’s Inc.)
- Arendelle (Frozen)
- The Caribbean (Pirates of the Caribbean)
- San Fransokyo (Big Hero 6)
These worlds will be unlock in pairs, with Monstropolis and Arendelle being your two starting worlds. Here we recommend you take it in this order:
- Monstropolis
- Arendelle
Once both of those worlds are done, you’ll unlock the next two. For that pair we recommend this order:
- The Caribbean
- San Fransokyo
The Eclipse

This is the final galaxy and it only has one world. We … recommend you do it first and last.
- The Keyblade Graveyard
And that’s it.
100 Acre Wood
You’ll also be able to go to the 100 Acre Wood (Winnie the Pooh) at some point, but you can do that whenever you want since there’s no combat involved. You can find it by going to see Merlin in front of the Bistro in Twilight Town. You’ll be prompted to go see him once the silly old bear rears his honey-thieving head again.
