Sekiro guide

Every Sekiro guide from beginner’s tips to boss fights

All Stories

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice may be the friendliest FromSoftware game, but friendlier doesn’t mean friendly. It won’t hold your hand. Like Dark Souls and Bloodborne before it, there’s a ton to figure out. In Polygon’s Sekiro guides, we’ll fill in the gaps to help you understand the game.

We’ve organized our Sekiro guides into a few categories.

You can read our beginner’s guides to learn about the game when you’re just starting out, or you can keep them loaded for a quick reference as you play. Those include the bog standard beginner’s guide (for the first few days of your game), as well as several introductions and explainers to Sekiro’s various concepts and mechanics, and dedicated guides for each boss, mini-boss, or even just particularly difficult fight.

No matter where you are in the game, our goal is the same: to make Sekiro understandable without spoiling anything. Much of the fun in FromSoftware games comes from overcoming overwhelming odds. In the same way Sekiro is friendlier but not exactly friendly, we want to make it easier, not easy.

As always, we’re here to help.
