In Genshin Impact, you’ll need experience materials to level up your characters. But once you reach certain level thresholds, like level 20, you’ll need items found in the world to Ascend those characters. Here’s how to find the Treasure Hoarder Insignia.
If you’re early in Genshin Impact, you probably don’t have any of these items, because you likely haven’t fought any Treasure Hoarders yet. Treasure Hoarders are a human faction, contrary to the legions of monsters you fight. When you defeat any of them, they have a chance to drop the Treasure Hoarder Insignia before teleporting away.
You won’t be able to find many Treasure Hoarders to fight in the Monstadt nation. Instead, you’ll need to wait until you reach the Liyue nation as you progress through the story and get a chance to explore, which should take 5-10 hours, give or take. The Treasure Hoarders are pretty plentiful in Liyue, so you shouldn’t have much of an issue filling your pockets with Treasure Hoarder Insignias once you get there.
Here are all the listed Treasure Hoarder locations according to the Genshin Impact wiki:
- North of Springvale in Monstadt (only during the Raptor questline)
- East of Luhua Pool in Liyue
- Between Mt. Tianheng and Lingju Pass in Liyue
- South of My. Tianheng in Liyue
There are other locations in the world where you can find these enemies, but these spots are reliable and consistent. If you’re exploring and see a group of non-monster enemies, attack.
You’ll need the Treasure Hoarder Insignia to Ascend three different characters in Genshin Impact:
You’ll also need Treasure Hoarder Insignias for several different weapon Ascensions.
You can use Alchemy to transform the Treasure Hoarder Insignia into the Silver Raven Insignia, which you’ll need for higher level Ascensions.
Once you have the required number of Treasure Hoarder Insignias, and the other materials you need for Ascension, you can Ascend your character or weapon.
