Toad Town collectibles locations – First visit
There are 19 Toads, 3 Not-Bottomless Holes, 2 Collectible Treasures, and 1 ? Block in Overlook Tower.
You’ll enter Overlook Tower by returning to Overlook Mountain after defeating the Earth Vellumental in the Earth Vellumental Temple.

As soon as you walk through the front door of the Tower, you’ll see the first two Not-Bottomless Holes in the lobby. You’ll also see the first three Toads: One is in the card rack to the left, one is stuck in the elevator doors, and one is folded into a pennant on the wall.

On the right side of the entrance lobby in Overlook Tower, look for a bucket of rolled up posters. Each of those rolled up tubes is a Toad. Toward the bottom of the screen, there are also three blue origami versions of the Overlook Tower to flatten into three more Toads.

Up on the second floor, head into the first door at the top of the stairs (on the left of the screen). In the back of that room, near the Not-Bottomless Hole that you can’t fill at first, there’s an outline of a block-shaped object. Hit that spot with your hammer to reveal the ? Block. Use that block to reach the Toad taped to the wall on the upper right side of the room. (There is another Toad hiding in the boxes here, but you need to go clear out the kitchen first.)

Cross to the right side of the second floor to go into the restaurant. All the way to the right of the dining room, there’s a cabinet that’s shaking. Open it to find this Toad.

From the dining room, head through the door into the kitchen. While you’re chasing around the mini Goomba Folded Soldiers, there are five Toads in here.
- In the bottom left, hit the drawers to open one, reveal a Toad, and create steps up to the shelves above you.
- The origami mushroom on the scale in the top left is a Toad.
- On the shelves in the top right, there’s a Toad in the white bowls.
- In the bottom right, the egg in the frying pan is a Toad.
- Knock over the trash can in the middle of the room for the fifth Toad.

When you’re done tracking down the mini Goomba Folded Soldiers, return to the room on the left side of the second floor. Talk to the chef hiding in the boxes to free him, and he’ll give you the confetti you need to fill in the final Not-Bottomless Hole.

After dodging the missiles on the third floor, you’ll climb up to the fourth. The blue pencil sticking out of the wall just to the left of the Save Block is a Toad.
Overlook Tower collectibles – After Colored Pencils
Once you defeat the Colored Pencils boss, you’ll be able to grab the final Toad in this area.

Still up on the observation deck where you fought Colored Pencils, head over to the right side. Hit the far end of the telescope to rescue this Toad.
Overlook Tower collectibles – After first trip to Autumn Mountain
With the red streamer destroyed, head all the way back down Overlook Tower and into Overlook Mountain. Head right to the Autumn Mountain Tram station, and talk to the Toad who runs it (and grab that area’s last few collectibles while you’re there). For the last two collectibles, you have toake the tram to Autumn Mountain first. You can turn around and come right back.
Collectible Treasure 1 of 2 – No. 28: Chef’s TRULY WILD Special
:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/20534450/Paper_Mario_The_Origami_King_Overlook_Tower_collectibles_11.jpg)
Ride the newly repaired elevator to the second floor, and head through the restaurant to the kitchen. The chef will give you Collectible Treasure No. 28: Chef’s TRULY WILD Special.
Collectible Treasure 2 of 2 – No. 29: Overlook Tower

Ride the elevator up to the third floor. Loop around to the coffee stand, and the Toad there will give you Collectible Treasure No. 29: Overlook Tower.
