Hades guide: Duo Boons

In Hades, you’ll earn gifts from the gods on every run through the Underworld. These temporary Boons buff your stats and attacks until you die, at which point all of your Boons reset.

In this Hades guide, we’ll introduce you to a special kind of Boon — the Duo Boon.

Duo Boons

For each of your actions — Attack, Special, Cast, Dash, and Call — you can only have one Boon active at a time. If you find a second Boon that buffs an action, it will replace the first one.

That means you can’t stack effects from multiple gods and multiple Boons.

Rarely, though, you’ll find a Duo Boon. These Boons combine effects from two gods into a single Boon. For example, Lightning Rod is a Cast Boon that combines effects from Zeus and Artemis. Lightning Rod replaces your previous Cast Boon.

How to find Duo Boons

There are 28 Duo Boons in Hades, and most Olympian Gods offer them (Hermes and Chaos do not). To have a chance for a Duo Boon to appear, you’ll need to have at least one Boon already from each of the gods involved.
