Think of Halo Infinite’s Valor like Master Chief’s reputation on Zeta Halo — a currency he earns after doing good things. In this Halo Infinite Valor guide, we’ll explain how you’ll earn Valor and what you’ll use it for.

Valor is like a currency you’ll earn by working to reclaim Zeta Halo from the Banished. Specifically, you’ll earn it by clearing out Banished Outposts (the big, fort-like structures), destroying Banished Propaganda Towers, and rescuing USNC Squads. You’ll also occasionally earn Valor for completing main story missions.

You can see how much Valor a mission (like rescuing a Squad or destroying a tower) is worth by hovering over its icon on the map. The Valor you’ll earn is the number under the winged star icon.


Valor unlocks vehicles, weapons, and reinforcements at FOBs

Earning Valor unlocks weapons, vehicles, and Marine reinforcements available at FOBs. You can track what’s been unlocked and what will be unlocked as you continue to earn Valor in the FOB tab of your menu. That’s also where you can check how much Valor you’ve already earned.
