When you collect Horizon Forbidden West Overrides from a Cauldron like Repair Bay: Tau — some of the override codes will be corrupted. To fix them, you’ll need to craft an override at the Fabrication Terminal. Only once that’s crafted will you be able to actually override those Machines.

In this Horizon Forbidden West Fabrication Terminal guide, we’ll explain how to use the Fabrication Terminal table inside The Base and what it costs to craft each one.

Horizon Forbidden West Fabrication Terminal

Once you unlock The Base as part of the “Death’s Door” Main Quest, you’ll have access to the Fabrication Terminal. You’ll find it in the room with the gear and wrench icon over the door.

To use the Fabrication Terminal, you’ll have to first unlock some Overrides at a Cauldron. Some of the Overrides you receive for completing a Cauldron will be complete and ready to use. Others, though, will be Corrupted. Those Corrupted Overrides need to be repaired (crafted) with parts from the Machine they apply to.

At the Fabrication Terminal, select one of the Corrupted Overrides you’ve unlocked to see what parts are required. If you need to collect more of anything, create a Job with the Triangle button and your map will point you to nearby Machine sites.

Once you’ve collected those parts, bring them back to the Fabrication Terminal and craft the Override. This is repair the Corrupted Override and let you actually Override the Machine.
