The 2018 romantic comedy-drama Love, Simon was a hit upon its debut. Adapted from Becky Albertalli’s novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, the movie focused on a teenager named Simon, who struggled to balance a mysterious new crush with how to come out to his friends and family.

Love, Victor, which is set at the same high school, stars Michael Cimino as Victor, a new student who is adjusting to having moved to a new city, as well as discovering his sexual orientation. When it all starts to feel overwhelming, he reaches out to Simon for help.

The series was originally set to debut on Disney Plus, but moved to Hulu after reports that the show wasn’t family-friendly enough. The first look at the series, though relatively tame, definitely leans a little bit on raunchiness. The clip features Victor applying for a job as a barista, but his attraction to the assistant manager turns the application process into a slow-motion fantasy, ending in an explosive mess.

The series will debut on Hulu on July 19.
