Luigi’s Mansion 3 guide: 3F gem locations

Luigi’s Mansion 3’s 3F : Hotel Shops level has six hidden gems. In this guide, we’ll show you their map locations and how to find them all.

On every floor, gems appear in the same order from left to right in the menu: clear, red, blue, green, purple, and finally yellow. We’ll follow the same order below.

3F : Elevator Hall [clear gem]

1. From the elevator, head left through the revolving doors.
2. Take the escalator up, turn right at the top, and walk down (toward the camera) until you see a slightly broken gate.
3. Use the Burst move (ZL + ZR) to open the gate, walk through, and follow the path to your right.
4. At the end of the path, open the chest for some money and the first gem on 3F.

3F : Boutique [red gem]

1. From the elevator, head left through the revolving doors.
2. Become Gooigi, and walk through the gate to enter the Boutique.
3. Use your plunger to pull the mannequin against the left wall, and that’ll open a hidden door on the left wall.
4. Walk through the door, and open the chest for a bunch of money, and suck 3F’s second (and red) gem off of the beam that it’s sitting on.

3F : Hallway [blue gem]

Keep flashing the vending machine at the end of the hallway (just past where you pick up the pink key), and after a few false starts (and several rats), you’ll get the 3F blue gem.

3F : Mall Lobby and Gift Shop [green gem]

Head up the escalator, and turn left. Shine your Dark-Light at the left corner of the front of the Accessories shop (the one with the big diamond above its entrance). That’ll make a ladder and some orbs appear. Suck up the orbs, and climb the ladder.

Follow the path at the top rightward, fending off bats as you go. Open the chest for the 3F green gem.

3F : Restroom [purple gem]

This one has a bunch of steps, so we’ll break them down.

1. Enter the men’s bathroom, and look in the mirror to see the reflection of a grate on the floor that … isn’t on the floor.
2. Shine your Dark-Light where the grate should be to make it (and some orbs that you need to suck up) appear.
3. Become Gooigi, and ooze through the grate to the spider-filled room below the bathrooms.
4. Use your Poltergust to push the valve at the far left of the room, and that’ll turn off the running water from the toilet above.
5. Become Luigi and, if you haven’t already, use your plunger to remove the cap on the grate in the top left corner of the bathroom.
6. Become Gooigi again, and ooze through the grate from the men’s to the women’s bathroom.
7. Collect the purple gem from the leftmost toilet.

3F : Accessories [yellow gem]

Use your suction cup to break the glass on the cases at the north end of the room, and you’ll find this gold gem in the rightmost cabinet.
