Once you’ve earned Mario Golf: Super Rush’s Lightning Sword, you’ll need to head to the Balmy Dunes to find the Fire Gem. And then you’ll have a boss fight against the phoenix-like Sacred Flamebeast.
In this Mario Golf: Super Rush guide, we’ll give you tips for finding the Fire Gem and defeating the Sacred Flamebeast.
Travel to Treasure Corner in search of the Power of Flame
After listening to Wario and Waluigi (again), head to the three sparkling spots in the sand. Hit a duff shot from them until you find the Fire Gem.
Defeat the Sacred Flamebeast
Your fight against the phoenix-like Sacred Flamebeast isn’t as straightforward as the fight with the knight during the Great Trials.
Watch for where Wario and Waluigi call storm clouds. Those clouds will drop a handful of lightning orbs (golf balls). Watch out for the purple targets on the ground just like you did with the knight, and make your way to one of those patches of balls.
Use one of them to line up a shot on the Sacred Flamebeast.
- There are lots of obstacles in the arena, so pick the ball you hit carefully — some of them will have less to navigate around than others.
- The Sacred Flamebeast is flying, so add more power to your shots than you’d normally need.
- You won’t have to worry about shift much with these shots.
Once you’ve hit it a few times, The Spirit will tell you to line up for a reflect shot. Head to spot it indicates near where you started the fight and line up.
Hit a shot with the duff gauge to finish the fight.
