Marvel’s Avengers has four Exotic Major Artifacts that we know of, each with their own set of perks, properties, and an ability. Most Major Artifacts come from unique locations, but Marvel’s Avengers offers two different Exotic Major Artifacts from the game’s campaign.
In this Marvel’s Avengers guide, we’ll show you how to get Sacred Norn Stone of Lethal Will and Tactigon and show you what they do.
Sacred Norn Stone of Lethal Will

The Sacred Norn Stone of Lethal Will is the easiest of the Exotic Artifacts to earn. You need to get about two-thirds of the way through the Marvel’s Avengers campaign.
As you’re starting the “To Stand Alone” mission as Kamala, you’ll need to sneak out of The Ant Hill. When you reach Theo and the portal room, he’ll give you the Sacred Norn Stone of Lethal Will to protect you on your mission. And that’s it. That’s all you have to do.
The Sacred Norn Stone of Lethal Will mainly centers around its Damage Boost ability and other buffs that increase player damage. It has three perks once you level it up to +3:
- Resolve of the Einherjar — increased Critical Chance when the Damage Boost is active
- Skuld’s Foresight — increased duration of all damage buffs by four seconds
- Tyr’s Offense — press the shoulder buttons/Major Artifact keys to active a Damage Boost
The Sacred Norn Stone of Lethal Will is a good pickup for damage dealing characters like Black Widow and Iron Man.
Tactigon

The Tactigon is the second easiest Exotic Artifact to earn in Marvel’s Avengers, and it’s also the second one you get in the campaign.
You’ll automatically earn Tactigon when you finish the campaign. When you load back into the Helicarrier, you’ll get the end of campaign cutscene, and all of your characters can equip your new Exotic Artifact.
Tactigon revolves around status effects like freezing, burning, shocking, poisoning, or shrinking any enemies. It has three perks once you level it up to +3:
- Routed — increased damage to enemies affected by any status
- Exploit — increases status damage from all attacks
- Quell — press the should buttons/Major Artifact keys to trigger an explosion that deals exploit damage on enemies affected by any status and increases all status damage against an unaffected enemies hit.
Tactigon is ideal for heroes who deal a lot of status damage by default like Hulk with Gamma and Thor with a variety of elements.
What’s an Exotic Artifact?
Exotic Major Artifacts are unique items in Marvel’s Avengers. Unlike typical gear pieces, when you get an Exotic Major Artifact, it immediately lands in the inventory of all your characters. It goes in its own slot, and operates unlike any other gear piece when you upgrade it. You can only equip one at a time.
Instead of coming with a Power Level, Major Artifacts add bonus Power to your character by a flat amount. It starts out as Power +1, and you can upgrade it to Power +10. This doesn’t affect your Power level average, and instead just adds Power based entirely on your level.
The Major Artifact starts with a single perk unlocked at +1. You’ll unlock a second perk at +2, and an activatable ability at +3. To upgrade an Exotic Major Artifact, you need a special resource: Polychoron. You can collect Polchorons by completing daily missions.
Upgrades are also exclusive to each character, so your +10 Tactigon on Thor will start at +1 Tactigon on Iron Man. All four Exotics are unique, and each offer bonuses for different kinds of playstyles.
