Overwatch, Blizzard’s team hero shooter, has been trucking along since its launch in 2016. Now, the largest gaming company in the world, China-based Tencent, is taking its own swing at a mobile version of Overwatch. Ace Force is an original IP, with an anime art style and a cast of characters. Fans of Overwatch will recognize quite a lot from the gameplay in this trailer, from unleashing powerful abilities like a barrage of rockets to capturing objectives on a map.

We also get to see the cast of characters interact. The tone of the trailer suggests that these heroes go on missions, battle each other in climatic fights, and there’s some lore connecting these characters together.

This isn’t the first time that Overwatch has been imitated on mobile platforms. In 2017, a mobile game was released with characters like Soldier 9527 and Mechanical Angel: Sofia. Ace Force looks like it has a more varied and unique cast of characters in terms of visual design and variety.

Ace Force is in open beta, which kicked off on Aug. 13. The title is available on both Android and iOS. The game racked up over 13 million pre-registrations before its public launch.
