Scattered around Monster Hunter Rise’s maps like Flooded Forest are collectible messages called relic records. Both messages and rampage messages look like notes tied to swords stuck in the ground. Approach them, and on-screen text says “old message.”

In this Monster Hunter Rise collectibles guide, we’ll show you the location of every Flooded Forest message and rampage message. Our numbered maps correspond to your in-game notebook, and our screenshots show all relic records locations.

When you collect all old messages in an area, Kagero the Merchant rewards you with decorations for your room. Find all Flooded Forest old messages, and you’ll get an Bishaten carving and a Somnacanth carving, both of which you can see in the screenshot above.

There are 10 relic record messages to find in the Flooded Forest. The numbers above match their entries in your Info > Hunter’s Notes > Notebook menu.

From the main camp, head forward until you see a cliff sticking out from a high wall to your left. Use your Wirebug to scale the wall and continue along the cliff, back toward your main camp. You’ll find the record there.

In the lower waterway south of Area 9 is a location with lots of vines hanging above the pathway. Among these vines is the relic record.

The easiest way to get it is to locate the Great Wirebug in this area. Take it to the cliffs above. Then walk north a bit. Turn left toward the waterway and drop down on the vine we have highlighted above. Turn around to find the relic record.

Use the Great Wirebug on the east side of the first level of the pyramid. As you reach the apex of your flight with your Great Wirebug, continue using your own Wirebugs to climb to the peak of the structure.

At the top, look out over the eastern edge. You’ll see an opening jutting out of the side of the pyramid. Jump down and Wirebug your way into the entrance. Inside you’ll find a small chamber with some ore gathering spots and a relic record.

This relic record is sitting in the center of the colorful bush in this area.

Inside the underground tunnel is a small cave along the wall to your left. Enter it to find a relic record.

Climb this wall near the Latchberry and Clothfly. At the top is a small cave covered in vines that hide a relic record.

Climb the wall directly above the mining outcrop. The relic record is sitting on this cliff.

You’ll need to craft a large barrel bomb to access this relic record. Just like relic record 3, scale the large pyramid at the bottom of the map. Climb to the top until you find the broken wall at the peak.

Place the large barrel bomb next to it, and hit the bomb with a projectile like your throwing kunai. With the wall destroyed, you can find the relic record inside this room.

Use the Great Wirebug right next to your main camp to zip up to a cliff with a cave opening. Follow the cave and, partway through, you’ll find a cave to your left with a relic record.

Take the Great Wirebug in Area 12 to find a path across toward Area 7.

Follow the path through a cliffside to your right. Use your Wirebugs to carefully navigate the small cliffs coming out of the waterfall. On the other side, scale the wall to find the relic record against a wall to your left.

There are two relic record rampage messages in the Flooded Forest area. The numbers above match their entries in your Info > Hunter’s Notes > Notebook menu.

Climb the low wall in this area and continue forward until you reach a dead end. Scale the wall to your right, and follow the narrow path back and down until you find the rampage message at the end of the path.

Scale the wall to get into the narrow opening highlighted above. There you’ll find a cave with the rampage message.
