New Pokémon Snap guide: Elsewhere Forest season routes

In New Pokémon Snap, Elsewhere Forest is a foggy area with multiple routes that represent different seasons. Getting the route you want can be tricky, but once you hit research level 3, you can start interacting with the Espeon, allowing you to effectively choose which route you end up in.

Getting the spring route in Elsewhere Forest

To get the spring route, go through the first area normally, and throw a Fluffruit for the Espeon to eat, but do not hit the Espeon with it. Once it sniffs the fruit, it will run ahead. If you hit the Espeon, it will run away and the route you get will be random.

This area has Kecleon, Shiftry, Bulbasaur, Unfezant, as well as the spring forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck.

Getting the summer route in Elsewhere Forest

To get the summer route, you’ll need to hit Espeon with an Illumina Orb as you go through the normal path.

This area has Pancham, Drampa, Bulbasaur, Unfezant, Shiftry, and the summer forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck.

Getting the fall route in Elsewhere Forest

To get the fall route, you’ll need to take an alternate route. You can do this by playing music for a Trevenant that will be on your right, near the floating blue rock. It will move out of the way, opening a route you can scan and take. Once you go this way, the Espeon will follow you. Throw a Fluffruit on the ground near the Espeon for it to eat, but do not throw it at the Espeon. Once it sniffs the fruit, it will run forward and you’ll end up in the fall area.

This area has Applin, Unfezant, Serperior, and the fall versions of Deerling and Sawsbuck.

Getting the winter route in Elsewhere Forest

To get the winter route, you’ll need to take an alternate route. You can do this by playing music for a Trevenant that will be on your right, near the floating blue rock. It will move out of the way, opening a route you can scan and take. Once you go this way, the Espeon will follow you. Throw an Illumina Orb at the Espeon to get to the winter area. If you ignore the Espeon, you’ll end up in the summer area.

This area has Gardevoir, Bewear, Unfezant, Ninetails, and the winter forms of Deerling and Sawsbuck.
