There sure are a lot of Monster Hunter Wilds PC mods for Alma, your nerdy sidekick, but none are as good as the one that turns her into a Seikret. You read that right: Someone put the Chocobo knockoff you ride in Alma’s big jacket and gave her glasses.

Nexus Modders PB472 and IvoryLagacrus are the ones to thank for Seikret Alma, a PC mod that has no business being as elaborate as it is. Seikret Alma walks and talks just like normal Alma, has a realistic tail, and still rides alongside you on her own Seikret. She even fits right into every cutscene as if it was just a costume you unlock after beating the game. If you had shown me the screenshots on the mod’s description page out of context, I would’ve guessed it was official DLC.
Sadly, Seikret Alma can’t fly or drift. She can, however, take out an egg and show it off when you point your camera at her. And hunters won’t have to worry about Seikret Alma having a change of heart about authorizing you to slay monsters. She does that, too.
In a sea of mods that do heinous things to Alma’s character model, I’m just happy to see some modders intent on keeping her just as much of a dork as she was designed to be.
Logically, the next step is to transform more characters into a Seikret. People in the mod site’s comments are asking for a mod to turn their hunter into one, but I’m hoping it won’t be long before all our gear is made by Seikret Gemma.
