In Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, there are 33 weapons to find, spread across both halves of the game. You’ll get some as part of the story (so you can’t miss them), get some as rewards for side quests, and have to purchase others from blacksmiths.

In this Nier Replicant remaster guide, we’ll talk about how weapons and Nier Replicant’s endings are interlinked, talk a little about how weapons work, and then list every weapon available and where to find it. Remember that you can improve any weapon by either strengthening (upgrading) it or assigning Words to it.

Endings and weapons

Three of Nier Replicant’s endings — Endings C, D, and E — require you to have collected all 33 weapons.

However, when you complete the first half of the game — we’re calling this Part 1 — you won’t be able to return to Part 1 or complete any of Part 1’s side quests. That means you have to make sure you’ve completed everything you want before proceeding.

More importantly, you’ll need to collect every weapon listed in Part 1 weapons below before continuing into the second half of the Nier Replicant remake.

Types of Nier Replicant weapons

Weapons in the Nier Replicant remake fall into three categories: one-handed, two-handed, and lances.

One-handed weapons

For the first half of the game, you’ll only have access to one-handed weapons. These are the fastest weapons, but they deal the least damage. One-handed weapons focus on the direction you’re facing with limited sweeping attacks.

Two-handed weapons

Two-handed weapons are much slower than one-handed weapons, but they deal much more damage. They also tend to have sweeping attacks, making them good for groups of enemies.

Lance weapons

Lance weapons are a middle ground between one- and two-handed weapons. They’re faster than two-handed weapons and deal more damage than one-handed weapons. However, lances are directional and not useful for groups of enemies. They have a good range, though, and lances let you attack (and start attacks) from far away.

Part 1 weapons

There are nine weapons to find in the first half of the Nier Replicant remake. All nine are one-handed weapons. Some you’ll get some as part of the story, and others you have to purchase from blacksmiths.
