Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido is heading to the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo made the announcement during its Nintendo Direct presentation today. Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido takes place in a world where sushi is forbidden. Players should prepare for all out sushi battles; All players need to do is continue matching the sushi! There are special moves that players will can equip themselves with, too. If a special move is conducted properly, the player should be able to get the upper hand in the match.

The official description of the game reads:

In the fast-paced world of conveyor-belt sushi fighting, match colored plates and types of sushi to hurl tall stacks of plates at your opponent. The more matches you make, the taller the plate stack and the stronger your attacks will be. Defend your homeland from invading enemies in this puzzling action game so more people can enjoy delicious sushi in peace. May the best sushi samurai reign supreme!

There is also an online mode where multiplayer battles can occur, Nintendo confirmed today. The competition will heat up, so prepare to spend quite some time preparing beautiful sushi plates!

Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido will launch simultaneously on the Switch and 3DS on June 8.
