The critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is headed to Nintendo Switch. News comes today from Nintendo, which featured the game prominently during its latest Direct presentation on Twitch and YouTube.

Hellblade, developed and published by Ninja Theory, tells the story of a Celtic warrior with a severe mental illness that returns to her village after a Viking raid only to find her lover sacrificed to Norse gods. In our review, we called the game “both a psychological terror and an enlightening experience.”

The game was originally released for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in 2017. It was later released for Xbox One in April 2018. It was also adapted to virtual reality last summer. The version on display here for Nintendo Switch appears to be a complete version of the game.

Hellblade was recently added to the Xbox Game Pass program, and is free to play for subscribers.
