2020 is here, and it’s shaping up to be a good year for Nintendo Switch fans. The Nintendo eShop is celebrating the dawn of a new decade with deals on digital titles. Tons of games are discounted by up to 30 percent right now, including first-party, indie, and classic favorites.

Just in time for those who were gifted a new Switch or Switch Lite over the holidays, a few essential Nintendo games are on sale. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ($41.99), Splatoon 2 ($41.99), and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle ($14.99) are all great places to start with a new console. Or catch up with beloved characters in Yoshi’s Crafted World ($41.99) and Kirby Star Allies ($41.99).

There are also some of our favorite indie games on offer. We’d highly recommend the adorable turn-based strategy game, Wargroove ($15.99), cult classic farming simulator, Stardew Valley ($9.99), dreamy tarot-themed pop album experience, Sayonara Wild Hearts ($9.09), or my personal favorite game of 2018, Celeste ($9.99).

Finally, if you’ve been binging Netflix’s The Witcher series, now’s the perfect time to (re)visit the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is on sale on Switch for $41.99 (usually $59.99.)

Several retailers are matching Nintendo’s pricing, including Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, and Best Buy. If you’ve got holiday gift cards lying around, now’s a good time to break those out.

Nintendo’s New Year sale began on Thursday, Jan. 9 and will run for a full week, ending on Jan. 16. Check out the full list of discounted games at the Nintendo eShop.
