Just in time for the 2020 primaries, Saints Row 4 is being released for the Nintendo Switch. The news came today via Amazon, which beat the formal announcement with a listing of a pre-order online. Titled Saints Row 4: Re-elected, the game will be out on March 27 for $39.99. There’s also an official trailer, embedded above and on YouTube.

Originally developed by Deep Silver Volition, Saints Row 4 puts players in the shoes of a super-powered version of the President of the United States and tasks them with defending our planet from the Zin aliens. The over-the-top action game features a variety of bizarre weapons, including the infamous Dubstep gun that forces enemies to dance in place. The game was both a critical and a commercial success when it launched it first launched in 2013.

The Nintendo Switch port will feature 25 different packs of downloadable content, including Enter The Dominatrix and How The Saints Save Christmas. It will also include ad-hoc cooperative gameplay with a “seamless” feel, according to its YouTube description.

A previous title in the Saints Row series, Saints Row: The Third, also arrived on Nintendo Switch last year. Unfortunately that version stumbled, with poor framerates and input lag. That means all eyes will be on Saints Row 4, perhaps the most beloved title in the franchise, to see if it can right the ship.
