Rayman Legends coming to PC alongside console versions

Rayman Legends will launch for Windows PC alongside the PlayStation 3, Vita, Xbox 360 and Wii U versions on Sept. 3 in North America, Ubisoft announced today.

Pre-ordering the PC version of Rayman Legends through the online UbiShop will net buyers a free downloadable copy of Rayman Origins for PC.

The PC version of Rayman Legends is being developed by Ubisoft Chengdu in collaboration with Ubisoft's Montpellier studio. The Chinese studio previously collaborated with Ubisoft Montreal on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, which launched in 2010 through Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Ubisoft Chengdu also currently runs Ubisoft's The Smurfs Facebook game.

Last week, Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends will include an unlockable "Back to Origins" chapter featuring 40 remastered levels from 2011's Rayman Origins.
