Nintendo eShop adds Valkyria Chronicles 4, Cities: Skylines and more this week

Tons of new titles timed to release during the Tokyo Game Show

This week the Nintendo eShop adds a ton of new titles with a massive glut of game releases timed to coincide with the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) convention.

Among the high-profile titles for the Nintendo Switch are Valkyria Chronicles 4, featuring full western localization, which will be available on Sept. 25. Cities: Skylines — Nintendo Switch Edition, a new console port of the popular city builder, is available right now as is Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition HD.

Fans of the Xenoblade series will be happy to know that Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna — The Golden Country comes out on Sept. 21 as its own standalone game. It’s been available as an expansion since Sept. 14.

Rounding out the list of headliners is The Gardens Between, an adventure puzzle game from the Australian indie team The Voxel Agents. Polygon’s review called it “a satisfying story that offers challenge, escapism and magic.”

But Nintendo isn’t stopping there. There’s 28 additional titles available now or in the next few days on Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo 3DS, conspicuously, has nothing new on offer.
