Obduction's world — or, rather, worlds — can be confusing and more than a little daunting. Getting from the campground at the beginning to the explosive ending involves extensive teleporter travel and interplanetary gardening, with a complicated set of steps in between. Whether you're looking for hints or solutions, Polygon's Obduction guide is here to help.
About the story

There are notes, letters and books throughout Obduction that paint a detailed picture of the world (worlds) you're exploring. We'll point you toward them, but the reading is up to you. (And we highly recommend reading it to add more flavor to your experience.)
Obduction is a spiritual successor to Myst from its creators at Cyan, so a lot of its fun comes from the sense of accomplishment you feel when solving its mind-bending puzzles. Sometimes, you just need a nudge in the right direction, and you can figure out the rest. That's why we avoid giving you the solutions to puzzles right away. Instead of just presenting the solutions, our Obduction guide walks you through each puzzle, explaining the underlying concepts. And then we include the solutions, obviously.
So let's go find your Ambassador Seed pod and start exploring.

Navigating Obduction (and our guide)

We've organized our Obduction guide based on worlds and what you have to do in them, so each chapter's name represents a puzzle or an objective. The table of contents below and at the bottom of each page shows Obduction in its entirety.
Each guide page flows into the next, and you can use the quick navigation box just above the tables of contents to hop to the previous or next area. If you're not sure exactly where to go, just look at the copious images on each page. When they look familiar, you'll be able to orient yourself.
