In Outer Wilds, after practicing a bit with the Ash Twin Towers while reaching the Sun Station, you’ll now understand how to reach the Black Hole Forge that we first learned about way back on Brittle Hollow.
In this guide, we’ll help you to reach the Black Hole Forge.
Raise the Black Hole Forge // Brittle Hollow
While you can warp near the Black Hole Forge from the Ash Twin Towers at any point, you won’t be able to get inside unless you return to the Hanging City first.

Head to the Northern Glacier of Brittle Hollow. Follow the same path down through the ice that we did before when we returned from the White Hole Station.

At the bottom of this path, you’ll be in the Meltwater District of the Hanging City. Heading toward the main shaft of the city, and head down the stairs.
Throw the switch to raise the Black Hole Forge. Retrace your path back to your ship, and head for the Ash Twin.
Ash Twin Towers
We’ve already visited three of the Ash Twin Towers that ring the equator: Sun Station, Ash Twin Project, and Timber Hearth. We visited those towers in that order, which also happens to be their height order, and the order they emerge from the Ash Twin’s sand.

The tower you need to reach the Black Hole Forge is the fourth tower. It’s a blocky structure, and the door will be open when you get there.
Inside, use the gravity crystals on the righthand wall to get to the room underneath. In this inverted room, read the Nomai scroll in the wall.
Head back upstairs, and use the warp pad to reach the Black Hole Forge.
Black Hole Forge // Brittle Hollow
The Ash Twin Tower will warp you to the ceiling of the Hanging City. Exit the warp pad’s spiral, and check the Nomai computer.
Turn left, and follow the path around to the forge. Don’t worry about the projection stone pedestals yet.

Inside, follow the gravity wall up into the forge’s main room. Ride the elevator beam on the left down to the main floor, and read the Nomai script on the lefthand wall. Cross the room and read some more script on the opposite wall.
Grab the Ash Twin projection stone, and retrace your steps back outside.
Place the projection stone in the wall to the left of the exit, and read the Nomai script attached to it.
What have we learned? // What’s next?
By visiting the Black Hole Forge, we’ve filled in a little more of our knowledge about the Ash Twin Towers, and the Nomai’s warp core(s). We’ve also practiced planet hopping with the Ash Twin Towers a little more.
Now that we’ve learned a little more about the workings of Nomai technology and explored most everywhere else, it’s time to find Escape Pod 3, the Nomai Vessel, and the Hearthian explorer Feldspar on the Dark Bramble.
