This Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye Ritual Structures walkthrough will explain the various Ritual Structures littered across the game world. There are several to be found, and interacting with these buildings allows you to enter different areas. This guide will show you where to find each structure and where they lead you.
Echoes of the Eye Ritual Structures walkthrough
Throughout Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye, you will encounter four structures that clearly have some kind of significance in the game’s world. The Island Tower in Cinder Isles, the Submerged Structure in the Reservoir, and a pair of ritual huts in the Hidden Gorge and River Lowlands.
Save for the Submerged Structure, these buildings are defined by a circular symbol backlit by a green lantern on the facade and paintings on the interior walls lit by green lanterns. All four structures contain portals to the same Other World, though the process for reaching that world is slightly different in each one. In each location, the process requires an artifact, so make sure you stop by the ghost matter hut in the River Lowlands to grab one before you start. The Submerged Structure is the simplest, so that’s where we’ll start.

In the Reservoir area, notice massive chains descending into the water. Follow those down to find a large, wooden structure and use your thrusters to move down to the bottom then back up through a hole in the bottom. Take the stairs up to reach a room with a green campfire and a mysterious vessel. Artifact in hand, sleep in front of the fire. When you wake up, you will be in the Other World. Descend the stairs and take the elevator to reach the Abandoned Temple.

At the Island Tower, remove the lanterns in front of the picture of the owl person on a raft beneath the ringed planet to unveil a passage. Take the stairs down to reach a ritual room. Sleep in front of the fire to reach the Starlit Cove.

Find the ritual hut on the right side of the river as it flows into the River Lowlands. Enter and remove the lanterns in front of the picture of the owl person standing underneath the ringed planet to unveil a secret passage. Follow the stairs and sleep at the green fire to enter the Shrouded Woodlands.
Ritual Hut – Hidden Gorge

Find the ritual hut high up on the right side of the Hidden Gorge. Enter and remove the two lanterns in front of the painting depicting an owl person fishing beneath the ringed planet. Walk through the newly formed passage and down to the ritual room. Sleep at the fire to enter the Endless Canyon.
