The Outer Worlds guide: How to find the gloop gun

Science weapons in The Outer Worlds are unique, reality-defying weapons. They might not deal the most damage, but they sure are fun to use.

All five science weapons require energy cell ammo. Their damage will scale with the wielder’s tech > science skill. The real use of science weapons are their physics-breaking properties.

Errors Unseen

You’ll find this weapon during the Errors Unseen side mission on Monarch. In the UDL Lab to the southwest of Stellar Bay, clear out the marauders. Use the terminal on the left side of the main room to unlock the gun — you can either hack it, or answer the three security questions.

If your hacking skill isn’t high enough, pick the three most ridiculous, over-the-top corporate answers — “Protect the Chairman,” “Berate him relentlessly to defend the Chairman’s honor,” and “Arrest your spouse and admit your children to a reeducation program.”

Gloop gun

The gloop gun deals shock damage that weakens your enemies, and the splash of gloop will cause your target to levitate. Increasing your tech > science skill will increase the length of time the target is weakened.
