Charlie Nash returns in Street Fighter 5

Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

The newest name in Capcom's Street Fighter series is Charlie Nash, who will return next year in Street Fighter 5.

Fans may remember Nash from his lone appearance in 1995's Street Fighter Alpha. Charlie Nash in Street Fighter 5 figures to be an updated version of the character. Capcom revealed him at the Capcom Cup tournament last night, reports IGN.

Producer Yoshinori Ono dressed as Nash to announce the character, and also to announce that the Capcom Pro Tour and Capcom Cup will continue next year, offering a prize pool of half a million dollars.

Street Fighter 5 will arrive in 2015 and is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and PC. The game will support cross-platform online play.
