Fe, the colorful adventure game developed by indie studio Zoink Games, is set for release in early 2018, the company announced today during Electronic Arts’ Gamescom 2017 press briefing.
Zoink also revealed the platforms for Fe: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. The Gothenburg, Sweden-based studio unveiled Fe during EA Play 2016 just before E3, showing off a cutesy adventure game focusing on a young cub that awakens alone in the forest. You can see more of Fe in the new Gamescom 2017 trailer above, which shows the cub interacting with all kinds of other woodland creatures.
Fe will be the first game to be published under the EA Originals program, which EA announced alongside Fe last year. The initiative pairs EA with indie studios making “unique, gorgeous, innovative and memorable” games, EA said at the time, and provides those teams with support for development, marketing and publishing. In addition, EA is promising that EA Originals developers will receive more of the profits from a game than they usually would.
