John Wick will return in 2021.
Following Chapter 3 — Parabellum’s #1 box office debut — knocking Avengers: Endgame from the top after a three-week run — John Wick 4 has been confirmed. Not only that, the sequel has a release date: May 21, 2021.
The first John Wick movie opened in 2014 and grossed just under $90 million total, while its 2017 sequel made $172 million lifetime. The third movie, which debuted last Friday, made $57 million domestically and another $36 million overseas ($93 million total), greatly outpacing John Wick 2.
News of the sequel was announced via text message, using the same service that revealed the first trailer for Chapter 3: “You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming - May 21, 2021.”
What started as a simple story of revenge — of Keanu Reeves shooting up a lot bad guys as revenge for the death of his dog — has turned into a full universe.

Loved the first three movies. I think you could sum up the first three as the "Consequences and Repercussions" trilogy. While the next movies will be "War against the High Table"

I’m expecting that phrase to become, "I have served. Now you got served."

Haven’t seen any of these movies but I always find it strange that companies announce sequels so quickly after a movie comes out. It really ruins the mystery going into the movie and takes away the effect of whatever ending may have been set up. For example, all of the marvel sequels announced prior to infinity war while IW had the majority of these characters get dusted. Yes it’s pretty clear they would find a way back but having sequels already lined up guaranteed the heroes would win and you could pick out who wouldn’t fall as a casualty

Well, they’re all super heroes, that’s their job to not fall. Including John Wick, you would’ve known if you’d seen any of the 3 movies.

I know it’s their job but it’s still nice to have some surprise and tension while watching the movie.

While you’re right, I don’t think it has ever been the point of that kind of blockbuster.
But to announce it this early? Yeah, it definitely is weird, probably a marketing stunt I guess.

How many bullets can one man dodge?
By CrabbyCrabberson on 05.21.19 11:20am
Are you saying he can dodge bullets?
By dunnetg on 05.21.19 1:07pm
Maybe they dodge him?

I’m saying when he’s ready, he won’t have to.
