If it’s as good as Daredevil, I’m in. If it’s on Netflix, doubly so. Netflix is on fire.

I love that the Netflix Marvel shows have become the dark, adult corner of the MCU. It’s as close to the R rated Marvel stories as we’re going to get.
By JoeInTheBox on 09.24.15 1:31pm
close as we are gonna get? They are R rated stories. Kingpin bashes a guy head in with a car door!

That shit was sweet
By Mark Hutchison on 09.24.15 2:45pm
You and I have very different definitions of "sweet."
By jonnyshrp on 09.24.15 3:14pm
Also, possibly, of "shit".
By Vinquus on 09.25.15 12:37pm
Sweet horrific. There. I fixed it for you.

Not just bash, but decapitates!

If Daredevil is any indication they are not going to be afraid of going dark here and there’s a lot of darkness to plumb with this character. Heck given they implied a lot of the more tawdry elements of the one DD character’s life and set up that train wreck for next season I wouldn’t be shocked if they straight up kept some of the most gruesome elements.

If she ends up being a Female Negan with all the Fbombs in every sentence. Then I am out.
I am not a big fan of cursing.
By Beard Snacks on 09.24.15 2:11pm
I suspect there will be f-bombs.
By DaveLong on 09.24.15 2:17pm
I’m guessing they’ll pull back on it compared to Alias, but Jessica’s character tends toward swearing pretty heavily.
Also, she existed before Negan, so technically he’d be the male Jessica Jones!
By Phil Kollar on 09.24.15 2:40pm
That could be possible.
A little cursing is fine with me though.
By Beard Snacks on 09.25.15 10:33am
Okay Cap.
By JohnathanGlass on 09.24.15 2:48pm
I don’t like cursing so nobody in any fantasy media I read or watch can differ from my opinion on cursing. All characters must think just like me.
By Strife.v1 on 09.24.15 2:51pm
Not at all what he said. He said he would not watch it, which is what’s called a personal opinion and is perfectly acceptable.
By jonnyshrp on 09.24.15 3:15pm
How dare you be a reasonable, logical individual on the internet!

That’s not what I meant.

I’m super excited for this series! I loved Daredevil, and I’m really excited to see how they adapt this story. I frankly think this story is more interesting than Daredevil: Yellow, which seems like it was one of the bigger influences on Netflix Daredevil.
By Veit on 09.24.15 2:25pm
Going to look for some Alias TPB’s later on.

"A crappy show that no one will watch" – There, I’ve explained it.
By ahrmon on 09.24.15 3:15pm
I’ll watch it. I give most Netflix shows a 3 episode attempt. After 3 if I don’t see it going anywhere it gets dropped. Daredevil got its hooks in me and never let go, so I’m fairly optimistic this will be good too.
But thanks for taking the time to explain it
By Cracklebot on 09.24.15 6:17pm
Man I hope there are the "big" cameos in the show, not that JJ couldn’t stand on it’s own but those were certainly awesome/funny/interesting aspects of the comics. The insanity of seeing Thor interacting with Jessica just grounded the comic on it’s street level, and made Thor seem insanely powerful, otherworldly…and odd since he’s so tonally different from Jessica. Alias is by far one of my favorite comics. I collect original comic art and own the pages of Jessica’s origin, so stoked to finally be able to see it on screen!
Coulter certainly looks the part of Cage, I just hope he can bring his A game for the role, Jessica’s and Luke’s relationship is certainly one of the best Bendis put together in the MU.
If Killgrave ends up being 1/2 as monstrous as he is in the books Tennant will have great material to rip into.
If anyone hasn’t read Bendis’ Daredevil run and Alias, I can’t recommend reading both enough. They tie in together great!
By Keith Kamikawa on 09.24.15 3:34pm
Looking forward to it! Interesting that Bendis’s other hard boiled superhero noir Powers got a show too on Playstation Plus.
Daredevil was so damn good, was great to see that character done right.
By GroovyLord on 09.24.15 3:34pm
I really can’t get behind seeing Tennant as a villain after becoming so attached to him as the 10th Doctor.
