Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Drifloon guide

The adorable ghost- and flying-type only shows up on Fridays

To get into Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s post-game content, you’ll need to find a Drifloon to complete your Pokédex. The ghost- and flying-type Pokémon only appears on a certain day of the week, so it can be hard to find. Our Drifloon guide explains when and where to find Drifloon.

Where to find Drifloon

Each game has one Drifloon, almost like a Legendary Pokémon. The Drifloon will appear outside of Valley Windworks, east of Floaroma Town. It’ll just be standing there, chilling. However, the Pokémon only appears on Friday, after you beat up the Team Galactic members who tried to corner off the wind plant.

You can change the time on your Nintendo Switch console to get the Drifloon to show up, by going to System Settings > System > Date and Time.

Remember that there’s only one Drifloon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, so once you catch this one, it will no longer show up on Fridays. If you run from it or knock it out, it will reappear the next Friday until caught.

If you want a Drifloon with different stats, you’ll need to breed it.
