Another chance for players to catch Spiritomb has appeared in Pokémon Go.

Players will have to complete this short set of limited-time Special Research, A Spooky Message. If you already have Spiritomb from last year, you’ll just get a chance to nab another, along with some candy.

If it’s anything like last year’s Special Research, A Spooky Message has three steps to complete, though only two of them actually have things for you to do. The third step is simply collecting rewards and Spiritomb candy.

Step 1

  • Catch 10 ghost-type Pokémon (Litwick encounter)
  • Make eight great throws (1,080 XP)
  • Use 108 berries to help catch Pokémon (Lickitung encounter)

Rewards: 10 Poké Balls, 1,080 Stardust, and eight Silver Pinap Berries

Step 2

  • Catch 10 dark-type Pokémon (Yamask encounter)
  • Spin eight Pokéstops you haven’t visited before (1,080 XP)
  • Catch 108 Pokémon (Spiritomb encounter)

Rewards: 10 Poké Balls, 1,080 Stardust, and eight Golden Razz Berries

Step 3

  • Claim reward (1,080 XP)
  • Claim reward (1,080 XP)
  • Claim reward (1,080 XP)

Reward: 18 Spiritomb Candy and 1,080 Stardust

If this is your first special research quest, there should be three more to complete:
