Pokémon Go Adventure Sync Hatchathon event guide: bonuses and special Pokémon

Pokémon Go is having its Adventure Sync Hatchathon to celebrate the new year until Jan 16 at 4 p.m. ET, encouraging players to walk around and hatch some eggs.

There’s doubled Stardust and candy from hatching eggs, as well as bonuses for any players who walk a whopping 50 kilometers this week. If you manage this feat, you’ll get 50,000 Stardust, 15 Rare Candies, and a Unova Stone.

Pichu and Pikachu with party hats return for the event, with Pichu only being able to be hatched from two and seven kilometer eggs, and Pikachu spawning in the wild. Party hat-wearing Raticate, Wobbuffet, and Wurmple are making their first-ever appearance, with Raticate and Wobbuffet showing up in raids and Wurmple hatching out of two kilometer eggs. Players can also get a Raichu with a party hat, though you’ll have to evolve your party hat Pikachu.

All of these party Pokémon are also available to find Shiny, if you’re lucky.
