Pokémon Go Home event: Timed Research and rewards

Pokémon Go is having a special event to celebrate the new Pokémon Home integration.

The event takes place from Nov. 17 until Nov. 23 and it features increased spawns for a random assortment of creatures, like Porygon, Alolan Diglett, Slowpoke, Ditto, and more. Notably, Shiny Slowpoke was released with this event and Shiny Meltan is once again obtainable from the Mystery Box.

You can grab a Mystery Box by transferring any Pokémon to Pokémon Home. The Mystery Box is an item in your inventory that you can activate like an Incense. While it’s open, Meltan will spawn around you. After the event ends, you will not be able to get a Shiny Meltan again until another event brings it back.

There’s also a set of Timed Research to complete that rewards Pidgeot Mega Energy.

Step 1 of 4

• Transfer 5 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Use 10 berries to help catch Pokémon (NidoranF encounter)
• Catch 10 Pokémon (3 Razz Berries)

Reward: 20 Pidgeot Mega Energy, Slowpoke encounter, 500 Stardust

Step 2 of 4

• Evolve 3 Pokémon (20 Poké Balls)
• Use 15 berries to help catch Pokémon (NidoranM encounter)
• Catch 20 Pokémon (3 Pinap Berries)

Reward: 30 Pidgeot Mega Energy, Ponyta encounter, 1,000 Stardust

Step 3 of 4

• Catch 10 different species of Pokémon (15 Great Balls)
• Win 2 raids (Litwick encounter)
• Catch 30 Pokémon (Slowpoke encounter)

Reward: 50 Pidgeot Mega Energy, Absol encounter, 1,000 Stardust

• Claim reward (10 Pidgeot Mega Energy)
