Team Rocket is taking over Pokémon Go starting on March 6 until March 9.

Shiny Skorupi will be making its debut, alongside an increased spawn rate to dark- and poison-type Pokémon. Absol will also be spawning in the wild, instead of only coming from eggs.

On March 7, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in your local time, a global take-over will occur, with Team Rocket taking over tons of PokéStops. The three leaders, as well as Giovanni, will be appearing more frequently as well, so this is a good chance to complete any of the Team Rocket Special Research. Shadow Pokémon taken from the leaders will also have a chance to appear Shiny. Taking down Team Rocket members during this time period will also reward double Stardust, so make sure you use a Star Piece.

During that specific time period, you’ll also be able to use Charge TMs to change the Shadow Pokémon’s charge move from Frustration into something else. However, the move will still be replaced with Return if you purify it, so use your TMs wisely.
